Sentiment Indicator

A sentiment indicator is an economic indicator which is not derived by compiling economic statistics, but rather by surveying people’s attitudes towards an economy or market. The University of Michigan’s Consumer Sentiment survey is a good example of a high-impact indicator that is based entirely on sentiment.
